President Trump Pardons Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio [VIDEO]

During a presidential debate then 45th President Donald Trump told the Proud Boys to stand back and stand by.  A command that former Proud Boy leader Enrique Tarrio wished he didn’t adhere to, because he has sentenced to 22 years in prison for a national embarrassment that is now in scotched in American History books as the January 6th Insurrection.    How on day 1, 47th President Donald Trump made things right, with the group he didn’t have any control/nor affiliation with, The Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio and others  have been pardoned. 

In a statement, Donald Trump defended the pardon, calling Tarrio’s sentence “unfair” and claiming it was part of what he describes as “politically motivated prosecutions.” However, he did not provide further details about why Tarrio, in particular, was chosen for clemency.

Enrique Tarrio had been convicted of seditious conspiracy and other felonies after prosecutors described him as a “street-fighting extremist” who played a key role in coordinating the Proud Boys’ involvement in the deadly assault on the U.S. Capitol. His 22-year sentence was the longest handed down to any of the nearly 1,600 individuals charged in connection with the attack.

Stewart Rhodes founder of the Oath Keepers has been pardoned and released from prison as well after their lengthy sentences for seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol were wiped away by a sweeping order from President Donald Trump benefiting more than 1,500 defendants.
