Assist. Principal Left Blind In One Eye After Being Struck By A Student Speaks [VIDEO]

School is just getting back in session, and we are already hearing about children that are way out off control.

The Assistant Principal at Collins Intermediate School in Texas, Candra Rogers held a press conference to discuss a recent injury that left her blind in one eye on August 15th.

According to Candra Rogers there was an urgent call from a behavioral teacher asking for assistance. After arriving, the teacher and students were outside of the classroom, with one student holding his head after being assaulted by the student, causing the disturbance.  Ms. Rogers entered the room where the irate student responsible started to throw chairs at her, as well as another assistant principal. Rogers says the student then threw a wooden hanger at her, hitting her in her right eye, knocking it out of its socket.

Candra Rogers was airlifted to a hospital in Dallas, where she immediately went into surgery. Doctors were able to reinsert her eye, however doctors believe that she will be permanently blind in that eye.

The student that is reportedly responsible for her injury was detained and released into the custody of his parents and his case has been referred to Navarro County District Attorney’s Office and the Juvenile Probation Department.
