In 2018 activist/radio and television host Tavis Smiley was fired from PBS for allegations of sexual harassment allegations.
Tavis Smiley then filed a lawsuit suing the network for breach of contract. PBS then hired an external investigator to investigate the what they said was ‘multiple credible’ accusations. PBS is countersuing, seeking $1.9 million in production advances.
Because of these suits the report from the investigation has finally been unsealed. Tavis asked that the PBS be dropped a judge said, no, so allegedly Tavis say’s cool beans no problem I can’t wait to see you in court.
“A weak case you play in the press, a strong case you play out in a court of law. I look forward to my day in court February 10, which I have finally been granted, after 2 years of fighting.”
We could not find this tweet that Tavis Smiley allegedly made in the report
We will keep you posted on the Tavis Smiley/PBS case as February is approaching soon.
