The is nothing like a woman scorned. A Florida woman is in police custody after allegedly kidnapping her ex-boyfriend’s wife by posing as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.
Allegedly Latrance Battle, was the ex-girlfriend of the victim’s husband. Battle allegedly went to the woman’s job and identified herself as an ICE agent. The woman believed it because she was in the process of becoming a legal United States resident. The woman got into the vehicle with Battle and tried to contact her lawyer and her husband, but Battle allegedly snatched her phone from her. Battle had initially told them they were going to the sheriff’s office, but instead she had driven the victim to an apartment complex where the victim was finally able to escape and call the real police. The victim realized Battle was her husband’s ex-girlfriend after describing the incident and Battle’s appearance to him over the phone.
Latrance Battle has been taken into custody on charges of kidnapping in commission of a felony, robbery by sudden snatching, impersonating a law enforcement officer in commission of a felony, and felony violation of probation.
