We are riding the playoff season of the NBA signaling the new season of the new hottest sporting event to watch, women’s basketball, the WNBA. Youngster WNBA stars such as Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese brought extra national attention to the sport as well as, social media and blog attention to the WNBA stars that have already been there thuggin it out. The attention is a well deserved thing for the women’s professional sport however with that comes the social media sleuths and trolls, to muddy their private lives as well.
The WNBA 2025 training camps are up and popping with the pre-season to start the first week of May. Some took notice that WNBA Seattle Storm star, guard Skylar Diggins-Smith, had deleted Smith from her name on her jersey. Skyler Diggins-Smith is married to former NFL player Daniel Smith. Inquiring minds during a presser decided to ask about it, and Skyler gave them a sky hook answer.
“Yes, it does say Skylar Diggins, and I would like to be addressed as that moving forward. Thank you for the question, too.” “Thank you guys so much, and as always, my focus is on being a great teammate, adding value to this team on and off the floor and in this community, and as always, being a good mom to my two babies.”
PLEASE AND THANK YOU…PERIOD. In other words Skyler said stop diggin in her business.
While Skyler Diggins has not publicly explained the reason behind the change, fans have speculated whether it is a personal decision, a feminist statement, or a sign of marital changes. Some have noted that she also removed most of her Instagram posts, including pictures of her husband, Daniel Smith, further fueling speculation.
