Whoopi Goldberg Suspended From ‘The View’ [VIDEO]

Sometimes owning what you did and apologizing isn’t enough, at least from television show ‘The View’ stand point, as they have suspended Whoopi Goldberg for making an insensitive comment about the Holocaust.

Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts during a latest episode of “The View.” were discussing a Tennessee school district’s decision to ban the book “Maus,” which covers the story of a Holocaust survivor because of it’s “rough, objectionable language” and a drawing of a nude woman. Whoopi Goldberg said the she was surprised that nudity was an issue factor and not the actual Holocaust.
During the conversation of schools making an effort to ban troublesome parts of history to avoid the conversations of race and racism, Whoopi Goldberg had this to say,

“Well also, if you’re going to do this, then let’s be truthful about it, because the Holocaust isn’t about race. It’s not about race,” …“man’s inhumanity to man,” … “two white groups of people.”

The social media dragging then began for Whoopi Goldberg, which prompted the Oscar award winning to take to Twitter to apologize for her comments.  Although Whoopi Goldberg’s apology was commendable, ABC News President Kin Godwin announced in a statement that Whoopi Goldberg would be suspended from The View for two weeks.
