What Does ‘Shelter-In-Place’ Mean For The Homeless? [VIDEO]

As the citizens of Ohio are preparing to ‘Shelter-In-Place’ after Governor DeWine made the announcement on Sunday in an effort to flatten the curve as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, what does that mean for our homeless population not only in Ohio but in other states/cities that are also under ‘Shelter-In-Place’ order?

Reverand Shane Harris, Founder of the People’s Alliance for Justice spoke with Roland Martin  about how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the homeless communities, people that are homeless for many different reasons, however one being metal health issues.  According to the Reverend Harris it is a critical issue in the state of California, and are looking to get street screenings to those that don’t have shelter to stay in place from.
