We best know 27 year old Ricky Hawk as Atlanta rapper Silentó with his smash hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” unfortunately we are going to watching Silentó Whip and Nae Nae from jail as he has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars after pleading guilty but mentally ill in the 2021 shooting death of his cousin, Frederick Rooks III.
Back in January 2021, police found 34 year old Frederick Rooks III shot multiple times outside a home in DeKalb County. Frederick Rooks III was pronounced dead at the scene. A nearby camera caught a white BMW fleeing, and witnesses said Silentó picked up his cousin in that same vehicle earlier and bullets found at the scene matched the gun he had on him when he was arrested.
According to a report he’s been battling mental health issues for years and is asking the public to pray for him. Before the murder, Silentó had other legal troubles, including driving 143 mph in Georgia and allegedly swinging a hatchet at people in L.A.
