Walter Scott Jr. of The Whispers Has Passed At 81 Yrs Old

Prayers are in order as sad news has been reported that Walter Scott of the legendary singing group ‘The Whispers’ has passed at the age of 81 years old following a battle with cancer surrounded by his family in California.

Walter Scott Jr and his twin brother Wallace “Scotty” along with original Gordy Harmon, Marcus Hutson, and Nicholas Caldwell, made up The Whispers best known for their smash hits “And the Beat Goes On,” “Lady,” and “Rock Steady,” just to name a few.  The Whispers were inducted into the National Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame in 2014.

Walter Scott Jr. is survived by his wife, Jan, two sons, three grandchildren and brother Wallace.

We will be keeping the family, friends and colleagues of Walter Scott Jr. uplifted in our prayers.
