Vice President Elect Kamala Harris Speaks Gratitude [VIDEO]

An illustrious member of The Devine Nine made history November 7th while taking a walk with her husband in the the morning.  Kamala Harris’s phone rang giving her the news that she had made history by becoming the first woman and person of color to obtain the title of Vice President of The United States.

In Delaware last night Kamala Harris took center stage in her 1st speech as Vice President Elect of The United States for filling the vision of many who fought for democracy literally for this moment to arise.

The now former Senator Harris addressed a cheering crowd last night opening up her speech with the last words of  civil rights leader, Congressman John Lewis, who served in the United States House of Representatives until he took his very last breath this summer in July, ‘Democracy is not a state, it is an act’.  Meaning that “America’s Democracy is not guaranteed it is only as strong as our willingness to fight for it.”   

Vice President Elect Kamala Harris thanked the people for their willingness to fight, for their hope and truth.
