Venus Williams Wins DC Open Match Making Her The 2nd Oldest Woman To Win A Singles Match [VIDEO]

Before there was recently retired tennis great Serena Williams, there was her sister Venus Williams whose pro debut came when she was 14 and at the age of 45 years old Venus has still got it.  Venus Williams won the D.C. Open with a wild card invitation. defeating 23 year old Peyton Stearns, making her the 2nd oldest woman, since Martina Navratilova (in 2004 at the age of 47), to win a singles match.

Venus Williams last official singles match was at the Miami Open in March 2024, last singles victory was at the Cincinnati Open in August 2023. 

Venus Williams return to tennis, says there’s only one thing that would make it better, is if her sister Serena Williams came back too.

Also congratulations are in order because no sooner than Venus Williams dropped Stearns in the D.C. Open she dropped the news that she is getting married to actor and ex-model Andrea Preti.
