Folks around the world are upset with Trump’s latest antics, of insisting on acquiring Greenland, and just like Americans a feeling the brunt of tariffs in our everyday shopping, many around the globe are saying his tariffs are effecting their economy as well and the world feels like Trump is acting like an international gangster.
While addressing Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in UK parliament, UK Member of Parliament Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, the third-largest party in the country, accused Trump of threatening the sovereignty of NATO allies and pushing the transatlantic alliance to the brink. Davey said on Tuesday, while discussing, Donald Trump wanting to acquire Greenland, made it plain that he felt President Donald Trump is acting like an “international gangster” and a “bully”, who believes he can seize territory through threats and coercion.
“He is threatening to trample over the sovereignty of an ally, threatening the end of NATO altogether, and now threatening to hit our country and seven European allies with outrageous, damaging tariffs unless he gets his hands on Greenland. This is an incredibly grave moment for the United Kingdom, Europe and our world,” Davey continued to say that Trump was “the most corrupt president the United States has ever seen,” who believes he can “grab whatever he wants, using force if necessary.”
Ed Davey also said that the only global leaders cheering on President Donald Trump were Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
