As tariffs increase as well as groceries, with no sense of relief insight for Americans being able to hold things together financially, the push to deport is still a high priority for the Trump Administration. To help with the mass deportation efforts Donald Trumps administration is now offering $1k to illegal immigrants to self deport.
The Department of Homeland Security just announced a new program that’s got the internet talking. Immigrants in the U.S. illegally can now use the CBP Home App to self-deport and get $1000 plus travel assistance once they return to their home country. Officials claim it saves money since deporting someone the usual way costs over $17,000.
“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest,” Secretary Kristi Noem said. “DHS is now offering illegal aliens financial travel assistance and a stipend to return to their home country through the CBP Home App.”
The CBP Home app is a mobile application by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that serves as a single portal for various CBP services, particularly for travelers. It allows users to apply for and view their Form I-94, request inspections for agriculture or biological products, check border wait times, and even submit a traveler’s manifest for bus operators.
