Politics and politicians used to be the epitome of professionalism, however it seems social media has changed all of that. Following NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte calling President Donald Trump, ‘Daddy’, The White House has ran with it giving Donald Trump some new theme music, ‘Daddy’s Home’ by Usher.
On June 24, the first day of the NATO Summit, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, referred to President Donald Trump as daddy, while discussing the ongoing fight between Israel and Iran.
“They’re not going to be fighting each other. They’ve had it. They’ve had a big fight, like two kids in a schoolyard. You know, they fight like hell. You can’t stop them. Let them fight for about two, three minutes. Then it’s easier to stop them.”- Donald Trump
Then NATO Secretary Rutte responds,
“And then daddy has to sometimes use strong language,”
And Donald Trump ate it up, so much so, that the official White House account used Usher’s song ‘Daddy’s Home’ as the musical back drop to Trump’s NATO Summit Trip highlight reel.
