The NBA Slid The Pole Out From Under The Atlanta Hawks “Magic City Monday” Promotion

The city of Atlanta is a staple for many things in the black community and one of those staples is the legendary strip club “Magic City,” that is not only well known to have been the launch pad to many careers in music, it was also the place of who’s, who, in the celebrity black community around the world that visited Atlanta, to unwind and have their famous lemon pepper wings as well as enjoying being entertained by some of the most famous beautiful dancers to ever grace a pole.  So to the Atlanta Hawks organization it only made sense to honor “Magic City” whose story was shared to the world that has never been in a docuseries, with a special promotional night “Magic City Monday.”  What the Hawk’s as well as fans thought was a great idea, the NBA slid the pole out from under the Atlanta Hawks  “Magic City Monday” promotion.

The NBA league officials announced they canceled the Hawks’ planned “Magic City Monday” in-arena promotion, which had been scheduled for March 16 during Atlanta’s home game against the Orlando Magic.  In a statement confirming the move, the league said,

“The NBA today announced that it has canceled the Atlanta Hawks’ March 16 in-arena promotion.”

San Antonio Spurs player Luke Kornet, who publicly questioned the idea.

“The NBA should protect and esteem women,”
