Since the passing of the late great Motown singer Marvin Gaye in 1984, when Marvin Gay Sr., subsequently shot and killed Gaye on the eve of his 45th birthday, there has been talk of there being at biopic about the Grammy award winning singer/song writer/musicians life.
Empire star actor Terrence Howard reveals that he turned down the opportunity to portray singer Marvin Gaye in a biopic because according to Terrence Howard, the ‘Sexual Healing’ singer was Gaye and allegedly Quincy Jones confirmed it to him.
According to Terrence Howard on Bill Maher’s podcast “Club Random” he couldn’t commit to playing a part that he couldn’t get into 100% and although he is not homophobic he couldn’t kiss another dude.
“That would f*** me. I would cut my lips off. If I kissed some man, I would cut my lips off.”
Marvin Gaye while living was allegedly romantically involved with the late singer Tammy Terrell, had two wives Jan Gaye (m. 1977–1981), Anna Gordy Gaye (m. 1963–1977) and three children Marvin Gaye III, Nona Gaye, Frankie Gaye.
