Tennis Star Coco Gauff Fires Her Coach Just Before The U.S. Open After Losing Wimbledon [VIDEO]

Earlier this summer, Tennis Star Coco Gauff  captured her second Grand Slam title on the clay courts of Roland Garros. However, Gauff struggled on grass and the North American hard court swing, going 5-4 since winning in Paris. Due to her slump and the rapid return of Iga Swiatek, Gauff fell to WTA World No. 3, Coco Gauff just days before The U.S. Open and following losing Wimbledon has fired her coach Matthew Daly.

Following his firing Matthew Daly had this to say:

“Only have good things to say about Coco, enjoyed working with her,”

Coco Gauff, who recently hired Gavin MacMillan to work with her on her serve, could face four-time major champion and No. 23 seed Naomi Osaka in the fourth round. According to reports, Gauff will continue working with her longtime coach Jean‑Christophe Faurel as she gears up for the U.S. Open.

15 year old Cori Gauff caught our attention by beating her idol Venus Williams as a wild card, she then beat Polona Hercog making Coco the youngest player to advance to the final sixteen in the tournament since 1991, when Jennifer Capriati made the semifinals as a 15 year old.
