Suspended High School Coach/NFL QBTeddy Bridgewater, Say’s He Was Only Trying To Protect The Kids [VIDEO]

One man says giving money, gifts etc. etc. to a youth athlete is pay to play, some say it’s helping a youth athlete to live a normal life.

NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was suspended from his coaching position at Miami Northwestern High School for providing “impermissible benefits” to his players, including paying for Uber rides, pregame meals, and physical therapy treatment, which violates the rules of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).

After returning to the NFL by signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater addressed his suspension from coaching high school football saying that he was trying to do the right thing for his players, many of whom are economically disadvantaged and living in a dangerous area.

“Miami Northwestern is in a tough neighborhood. Things can happen when kids are walking home. I was just trying to protect them.”

Take a look and listen to all of what Teddy Bridgewater had to say in the video below, then tell us how you feel.
