Arkansas State Police and local authorities are searching for a St. Francis County inmate, Christopher Davenport, who escaped while taking out the trash at the detention center.
Arkansas State Police said 38-year-old Christopher Davenport of Forrest City escaped from the St. Francis County Detention Center in Forrest City Monday night. He was in jail on multiple felony charges in connection with a shooting that happened this fall.
“Yesterday afternoon, around 6:21, Davenport was taking out the garbage. He kind of nervously pranced around the sally port area, then he left the garbage, and he left running,” “Just be careful,” “I don’t think he’s going to be a real threat to anybody right now. He’s hiding, and he doesn’t want to be found.”
Christopher Davenport was facing multiple felony charges, including first-degree battery, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and several weapons offenses. He also had additional charges stemming from a previous arrest by the U.S. Marshals Service.
