Singer Sinead O’Connor Has Passed At Age 56

Prayers are in order as it is being reported that singer Sinead O’Connor has passed away at the young age of 56 years old.

“Nothing Compares 2 U” is a cult classic song written and composed by Prince for his side project the Family, featured on their 1985 debut album, The Family.  Then in 1990, Sinead O’Connor was first propelled to international super-stardom with her version of Nothing Compares 2 U.

Sinead O’Connor’s comes following the passing of her 17 year old son from suicided.

In a statement released by Sinead O’Connor’s family:

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time,”

No cause of death has been given at this time.
