The television sitcom ‘Moesha’ that stared singer Brandy, Yvette Wilson and Countess Vaughn (who ended up swinging a spin-off from Moesha titled ‘The Parkers’) was a 90’s fan favorite. One of the main characters on ‘Moesha’ was the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph who played the role of Dee Mitchell, Moesha’s stepmother. ‘Moesha’ lasted 6 seasons before the network decided not to renew the show for season 7. What fans of the show didn’t know was that Sheryl Lee Ralph who disappeared in season six never to be seen again was, let go and according to Sheryl Lee Ralph undeservingly so.

Sheryl Lee Ralph was a guest on Forbes and Know Your Value’s 30/50 Summit recently and opened up about being let go from the ‘90s sitcom, saying her being let go was for a number of reasons adding, “I didn’t deserve that.” Sheryl Lee Ralph spoke about how she overcame the setback, while sharing an encouraging message for other women.
