Sad News: Keyshia Cole’s Mother Frankie Has Passed Away Age 61

Prayers are in order as it has been that the biological mother of R&B singer Keyshia Cole and one of the original reality television stars, Frankie has passed away at the age of 61.

We first met Frankie Lons back in 2006 with her Grammy nominated daughters reality show Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is that aired on BET.  We learned from the show that Keyshia had been adopted and raised by her adopted parents and were introduced to Frankie had been battling addiction for years and recently released from jail with Keyshia Cole wanting a relationship with her biological mother Frankie and sister Neffie (who also had a reality show with their mother Frankie).

The news of Frankie’s passing came from relatives posts on social media and confirmed by Keyshia Cole’s brother Sam that said that Frankie had a relapse from being clean and sober, suffering an overdose while celebrating her 61st birthday at her home on Oakland, California.

We will be keeping Keyshia Cole along with her family uplifted in our prayers.
