The holiday season is about giving and through a $3 million dollar donation and personal time, Russell Wilson And Ciara, gave to Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital to create healing spaces for children.

Russell Wilson the now quarterback for the New York Giants, and his wife singer Ciara, through their Why Not You Foundation, made a significant $3 million donation to Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital to support pediatric patient programs and create therapeutic spaces, a commitment highlighted by his recent visits, activities like bingo, and heartfelt interactions bringing joy and inspiration to young patients. This partnership supports healing environments, including the Child Life Zone Theater, and continues a longstanding relationship with the hospital, with Wilson emphasizing giving children safe spaces to thrive. Part of the donation will also go towards upgrading a common area known as “The Zone,” which is a space where kids can go be themselves with no doctors allowed.

The donation comes as Russell Wilson has been visiting the children’s hospital every Tuesday on his days off from practice and games with the New York Giants. “I started going to children’s hospitals, because my dad was unfortunately always in the hospital — he had diabetes — and my mom was an ER nurse,” he said in an interview with GMA.

“You know, my dad was unfortunately always in the hospital, he had diabetes. My mom was an ER nurse when I was growing up. So, for me, I felt like, how I could make a difference somewhere,”…” “Every time I walk in a room, I’m praying for a miracle, something great to happen. And I’ve seen those miracles happen time and time again.” –Russell Wilson
