I think every R&B music lovers, sunshine was gone, March 1, 2025, following the tragic news that singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer, Angie Stone’s untimely passing after leaving a performance in Montgomery, Alabama early that Saturday morning when she was killed in a car crash.
Today a celebration of life was held for 63 year old Angela Laverne Brown professionally known as Angie Stone, who rose to fame in the late 1970s as, Angie B, a member of the Sugar Hill Records label hip hop trio the Sequence, at Word of Faith Cathedral in Austell, Georgia, with the President of Black Hollywood, Reverend, Tyler Perry standing in the pulpit giving a mighty soul shaking word. Making sure that Angie Stones life was celebrated and deservingly so. Tyler Perry revealed how her song “20 Dollars” from her 2001 album, Mahogany Soul, inspired his new film, ‘Straw.
