Rapper Boosie Is Going On ’60 Minutes’ To Talk About The $600K Presidential Pardon He Never Got [VIDEO]

This must be clap back Sunday.  While this new generation takes to social media to clap back and/or spill tea as well as use TikTok as a news source. Rapper Boosie Badazz is taking his tea to poured in front of real grown folks on a major platform that dug its roots long before there was a social media.  Boosie if going on the legendary ’60 Minutes’ to talk about the $600k presidential pardon that he never got.

We reported back in July of 2026, that rapper Boosie Badazz sought a presidential pardon to wipe away a federal conviction for illegal firearm possession stemming from a 2023 arrest in San Diego. Pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a gun, he petitioned for clemency to clear his record, restore his rights, and avoid the risk of returning to prison.  Boosie Badazz never received the pardon, however a federal judge in San Diego sentenced him to time served, along with three years of supervised release and community service, sparing him from additional prison time.  Boosie Badazz kind of got what he was looking for but he had allegedly paid $600K for the pardon he never received.

The 43 year old rapper Baton Rouge, whose real name is Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. who reportedly filed a lawsuit behind the $600k is now taking his story to ’60 Minutes’  in a segment that explores whether the federal clemency and pardon process operates as a “pay-to-play” system where high fees are charged for political access with no guarantees.  

The segment will air Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT for a 60 Minutes hidden camera investigation into a lucrative business: brokering pardons for felons. Lobbyists offer a chance at clemency — at a cost, and with no guarantees.
