Rap Group ‘Whodini’ Member Ecstasy Has Passed Away Age 56

Prayers are in order as sad news is being reported that the legendary rap group Whodini member ‘Ecstasy’ has passed away at the age of 56.  News of the pioneer rap group member passing has been spreading across Hip Hop timelines social media like wild fire.

John Fletcher AKA Ecstasy, a Brooklyn, NY native started the rap group ‘Whodini’ with his friend Jalil in 1982 rounding off the group with their official DJ Grandmaster Dee in 1986. Their debut release, ‘Magic’s Wand’ (a tribute to the DJ of the same name on WBLS New York, who gave them a start.  The groups original manager was Russell Simmons. 

Whodini is best known for their hits “One Love”, “Friends” and “Freaks Come Out at Night,”

At this time there is no reported cause of death.
