We are living in times where you have to be careful of who you go out with or party with, and that goes for men and women as we hear almost everyday of someone making rape allegations in the form of lawsuits with incidents that allegedly happened years ago. Music Producer Metro Boomin is being sued for rape by a woman who said that a psychedelic plant reminded her that it happened 8 years ago.
In the trial that began Tuesday September 23rd, Vanessa LeMaistre, is alleging that she was assaulted by Metro Boomin back in 2016 at a hotel. Instead of filing a lawsuit right away, Vanessa says she only decided to take legal action years later, after a trip to Peru where she drank ayahuasca during a therapy session. According to her, the psychedelic made her realize the alleged incident was at the core of her trauma. LeMaistre claimed that she was given half a Xanax and a liquor shot by Metro, a combination that left her so out of it that she couldn’t consent to anything. She admitted she always knew she didn’t agree to sex, but says it wasn’t until later that she understood how the law defined rape. LeMaitre as claims that Metro Boomin admitted in the lyrics to a 2017 collab “Rap Saved Me” featuring 21 Savage, Offset and Metro Boomin.
Metro Boomin’s attorney says that the claims are false and that Vanessa LeMaistre stayed in touch with Metro Boomin after the night in question and even asked to hook up again.
