Prayers:  Tommy DeBarge of Switch Has Passed At The Young Age of 64

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that Tommy DeBarge of the legendary Mowtown singing group ‘Switch’ has passed away at the age of 64.

Tommy DeBarge who had survived COVID-19 earlier this year had been hospitalized after suffering kidney and liver disease for years.

Tommy DeBarge was a member of  the ‘Switch’ a 70’s singing funk band along with his brother the late Bobby DeBarge, Phillip Ingram, Gregory Williams and Eddie Fluellen that are known for their timeless hits “There’ll Never Be, “I Call Your Name, “Love Over & Over Again, “Calling On All Girls  and  I Wanna Be Closer”.

Tommy DeBarge is also the older brother of the other R&B great singing 80’s group ‘DeBarge’ comprised of, El, James, Bunny, Randy and Mark DeBarge, 90’s R&B singer Chico DeBarge, and other siblings twins Darrell and Carol, aka “Peaches,”  

Tommy DeBarge was born to Robert Sr. and Etterlene DeBarge aka Momma D of Grand of Rapids, Michigan and has 9 children of his own.
