Prayers are in order as it has been reported that the legendary radio host and voice of Mama Leonard and Reverend Tremble heard on The Sam Sylk Show, Kevon Woodson, has passed away at the age of 69.
Kevin Woodson, was the master of voices heard nationally in roles on Tom Joyner Morning Show in Chicago with Doug Banks and Crazy Howard McGee for over 30 years, as well as on shows and stations across the country. Woodson a St. Louis native was also a rodeo announcer, who had attended a bullfighting school in Illinois, where he earned the chance to work alongside professional bullfighters.
Kevin Woodson’s sister, actress Crystal Jenious, shared heartfelt words about the family’s loss.
“Words can’t express the unspeakable grief of losing my oldest brother in the blink of an eye, unexpectedly. The hardest part about losing him is giving him back to God with grace. It’s like running back our dad’s passing all over again.” “Although our hearts are shattered into pieces, I thank God for sharing his heart, talent, and legendary voice with the world. As my niece Leah said, ‘Kevin never met a stranger.’”
On behalf of the The Sam Sylk Show we want to thank Kevin Woodson for his contributions to our show and extended our sincerest condolences and prayers to his family, friends and colleagues.
