Prayers: Spike Lee’s Father Bill Lee Has Passed Age 94

No matter how old you get, it is painful to lose a parent.

Prayers are in order as it is being reported that the father of 66 year old film producer, Spike Lee, has lost his father, Bill Lee, at the age of 94.

Everyone knows Spike Lee’s bio, however, a little known fact is, his father Bill Lee is a star in his own right.  Bill Lee was a Jazz composer and bassist, playing on on albums/songs of many popular artists, including the late greats #ArethaFranklin, and Odetta. He also worked with Bob Dylan, the Chad Mitchell Trio, and Chris Anderson. 

According to report, Bill Lee, is also survived by his wife, his kids David, Cinque, Arnold and Joie, and two grandchildren. His first wife, Jacquelyn (Spike’s mom) died in 1976, and their other son Christopher died in 2013.

No cause of death has been given for Bill Lee.
