Prayers: Former Cleveland Brown Chris Smith Has Passed Age 31

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that former Cleveland Brown, Defensive End, Chris Smith, has passed away at the age of 31 years young.

News of Chris Smith’s passing had spread through social media like wild fire.  Former teammate David Njoku expressed his condolences to Chris Smith:

“Rest in paradise Chris Smith. Hometown hero and a brother to everyone. Such a kind soul. This is Heartbreaking.”

Chris Smith started two games with the Browns during the 2018 season. During the 2019 season, Smith’s girlfriend was struck and killed by a driver in a traffic accident. She was a passenger in Smith’s car and exited the vehicle after it had a tire malfunction and hit the median. The two had just had a daughter together, Haven Harris Smith who was 4 months old at the time of her mothers death.

Chris Smith is survived by three children.

No cause of death has been provided at this time.
