Prayers: Award Winning Actor/Director Rob Reiner and Wife Michele Singer Reiner Found Dead [VIDEO]

Prayers are in order as it has been reported that tragically Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday and their son Nick is being questioned in connection with their alleged murder.  According to TMZ, the couple suffered “lacerations consistent with a knife,”

On Sunday, Dec. 14, at about 3:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) was called to a home to provide medical aid, the LAFD told PEOPLE. Upon arrival, they found a man, 78, and a woman, 68, dead. Sources confirm the victims were Rob and Michele.  Their son 32 year old Nick was in the home.

A 2016 article in People Magazine described Nick Reiner’s struggle with drugs and homelessness despite being born into one of the most acclaimed families in Hollywood (Nick’s paternal grandfather, Carl Reiner, was also a beloved actor). At that time, Nick was trying to turn his recovery and past into a film project. That film project, directed by Rob Reiner, was a father-son tale called Being Charlie that leaned heavily on Nick’s drug addiction experiences. The Los Angeles Times reported at the time that Reiner and his son were making the movie to “exorcise drug demons.”

Robert Reiner is an award-winning American actor, director, producer, writer, and political activist. He first gained national recognition for his role as Mike “Meathead” Stivic on the CBS sitcom All in the Family, winning two Primetime Emmys for his performance.  He is famously known from his 1984 directorial debut, This Is Spinal Tap, to Stand by Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally… (1989), Misery (1990) and A Few Good Men (1992).

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were married for 35 years before their tragic deaths. They leave behind four children: sons Jake and Nick, daughter Romy, and Reiner’s daughter Tracy, whom he shares with late ex-wife Penny Marshall.
