Pennsylvania Community Outraged And The NAACP Is Concerned Over Halloween Display Depicting Bodies Hanging From Trees [VIDEO]

It almost seems that we have rolled back to dark times in this country where ‘Strange Fruit’ was a thing in the South.  Now we see stories of people hanging from trees often.  A Pennsylvania community is outraged and the NAACP is concerned over a Halloween display in someone’s front yard that depicts bodies in body bags hanging from their trees.

A home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia features what appear to be bodies wrapped in black bags hanging from a tree. While the homeowner appears to have incorporated the decorations into a spooky Halloween setup, critics say the imagery carries a disturbing historical significance.

The Bucks County NAACP has called on the homeowner to voluntarily remove or modify the display, arguing that the decorations are offensive because of their resemblance to the history of lynching.

The homeowner told FOX 29 that the decorations are only intended as Halloween displays and there was “no other agenda” when putting them up. The homeowner also said they are “sorry if it offended anyone.” Despite the controversy, the homeowner plans to keep the display up through Halloween.
