Ohio State Legend Ted Ginn Jr. Is Coming Back Coach The UFL Columbus Aviators [VIDEO]

Big ups are in order as Cleveland’s own/Thee Ohio State Buckeye’s legend, Ted Ginn Jr. is coming back to Columbus to be the head coach of the UFL Columbus Aviators, a new team joining the existing UFL for the 2026 season.

The UFL (United Football League) is the premier professional American spring football league, formed in 2024 from a merger of the XFL and USFL, providing football in the NFL offseason with eight teams split into XFL and USFL conferences, featuring innovative rules, player development, and broadcast partnerships with FOX, ESPN, and ABC to offer fans more football.

In a statement from Ted Ginn Jr.

“Today marks a new milestone in my football journey,” …“When I heard that the United Football League was going to have a football team in Columbus, I wanted to be a part of creating a new winning tradition in this city that is such an important part of my life. I can’t wait to start building this team and I ask football fans throughout the state to join the Aviators as they take flight.”

Ted Ginn Jr., the son of Cleveland’s legendary football coach at Glenville High School, was a superstar wide receiver and return man for Ohio State before going to the NFL as a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins who played in two Super Bowls (XLVII with the 49ers and 50 with the Panthers).
