Officer Suspended For Siccing K9 on Man In His Own Yard

A Salt Lake City police officer was called to the home of Jeffery Ryans for an alleged domestic complaint. When the officer arrived he told Ryans if he didn’t cooperate the dog would attack him. Ryan complied then the dog attacked him. Ryan ended up severely injured and doctors say amputating his leg is still a possible option. The crazy part is this happened back in April. The crazier part is the only reason the officer now has been charged is because they just now releasing the body-cam video. Even crazier is Ryan was laying down complying with the officer and you can hear the officer on the body-cam siccing the dog on Jeffery Ryan.

The officer has literally just been placed on administrative leave and the use of K-9’s have been suspended pending an investigation.
