Not Funny: Manager At The Legendary ‘Laugh Factory: Chicago’ Arrested By ‘ICE’ [VIDEO]

We are living in times where laughter is the only thing that is getting some people through.  In a place that is a launching board for many famous comedians and actors the legendary ‘Laugh Factory’ there was an incident that wasn’t so funny as the manager was arrested by ICE.

It’s being reported that The night manager of Laugh Factory in Chicago’s Lake View East neighborhood, Nathan Griffin, was detained by federal agents Friday morning outside the comedy venue after attempting to intervene in an immigration operation, with videos showing officers slamming him to the ground while onlookers scream hysterically.  Laugh Factory: Chicago posted a video of the incident on Facebook Friday. The video shows a crowd gathering as masked agents in camouflage uniforms marked “POLICE” wrestle with two people as Chicago police officers stand nearby.  Allegedly, according to Boarder Patrol, Nathan Griffin “attempted to impede and obstruct federal officers” by shutting a door of the federal agents’ car on an agent’s leg.

GoFundMe posted by Nathan Griffin’s brother-in-law for legal fees claims he was detained for four hours before he popped up in FBI custody, and, he could face years in prison if convicted.
