North Carolina High Schooler Forced To Cut Her Braids During a Softball Game [VIDEO]

We take two steps forward they take two steps back, we might have just seen a glimmer of change in the guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd but an incident in North Carolina proves that we are still far behind as a teenage young lady was made to cut her braids during a softball game.

16 year old Nicole Pyles stepped up to the plate for the second time that day after hitting a double in her first at bat in hopes of swinging for the fences when officials through her a curve ball and told young Nicole that her hair beads were a violation.  So Nicole Pyles had to cut her braids (the only way to remove the beads) in order to continue.

The optics look bad for officials because she had already been playing in the game, already been at bat before officials decided to enforce the rule.  The rule book says the officials request was by the book for safety reasons, but others including the school board is looking for change of the rules.
