How Syleena Johnson’s song ‘Guess What’ go, “Want to play the boss (Guess what), You got to pay the cost (Sho’ ’nuff)”? The NFL is singing that verse plus “I know somebody who will (Sho’ ’nuff)” to the Atlanta Falcons as well as their defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich for Ulbrich’s son prank calling Shedeur Sanders during the draft, in the melodic tune of $350K.
In the midst of waiting to hear his named called Shedeur Sanders on Day 2 of the draft Friday, quarterback received a call from someone impersonating New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis. Come to find out the prankster was Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich’s 21 year old son, Jax who made a personal as well as public apology as well as the Atlanta Falcons.
The other issue with the tasteless prank was how Jax was able to pull it off? Jax Ulbrich wrote down the number from his father Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich’s, open iPad while visiting his parents’ home “to later conduct a prank call.” Which led to the NFL conducting an investigation.
Well the results are in.
The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $100,000 for the incident. According to ESPN, both parties were hit with fines for “failing to prevent the disclosure of confidential information distributed to the club in the NFL draft.”
