New York Woman Claims She Was Raped On Coney Island On The 4th While Witnesses Recorded [VIDEO]

We truly live in a world where everybody’s goal is to viral on social media no matter the situation so they can get those clicks, likes and comments.  However a New York woman has taken to the news to get people to turn in their videos of her getting allegedly raped on the 4th of July on Coney Island.

Melasia Harris, who chose to publicly share her identity, said the assault happened on Coney Island during the 4th of July Holiday near Stillwell Avenue after she missed the fireworks and went for a walk on the beach.  According to Melasia Harris the man first assaulted her on the beach, and later raped her on a nearby street. She described being terrified and unable to fight back. Harris said there were witnesses to both attacks who seemed to be recording and she is asking them to come forward.  Law enforcement confirmed a report of rape was filed, and Harris is now working with the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit.
