New Jack City Is Getting A Reboot Via Snowfall

In 1991 when Wesley Snipes, Vanessa Williams, Ice T and Christopher Williams were babies and before they were huge stars a cast of the future was put together to bring to life a now legendary film called New Jack City.  And now 28 years later with the help of the writers of a history on the crack drug epidemic of the 80’s hit FX television show ‘Snowfall’ it appears that New Jack City is being brought back to life.

“Rock a bye baby!!”

But today word on the street is Warner Bros. is giving New Jack City a reboot and actor/writer/filmmaker Malcolm M. Mays best know for his writing on ‘Snowfall’ plus he played the role of Franklin Saints homeboy Kevin that he ended up killing at the end of season 2.  Allegedly Malcolm M. Mays is also the nephew of Stanley “Tookie” Williams, the notorious founder of the Crips gang.

The original New Jack City, directed by Mario Van Pebbles, was put together with a $8 million dollar budget, and grossed $48 million at the box office.
