Naomi Osaka Reaches 1st Major Quarter Final Since 2021 By Eliminating Coco Gauff In U.S Open

All eyes has been on the U.S. Open this weekend.  While many were rooting for Coco Gauff,  Naomi Osaka eliminated Coco Gauff (No. 3) 6-3, 6-2 to reach her first Grand Slam quarterfinal since 2021! The No. 23 seed looked sharp and composed, barely losing a serve on her way back to the top stage.

Naomi Osaka in an interview following the victory had this to say:

“I just had so much fun out here. I was in the stands like, two months after I gave birth to my daughter, watching Coco. I just really wanted an opportunity to come out here and play. This is my favorite court in the world and it means so much to me to be back here.”
