Mo’Nique And Lee Daniels Drop Trailer For BET+ Original ‘The Reading’ [VIDEO]

Back in July of 2022 it was official that actress/comedian Mo’Nique and director Lee Daniels had kissed and made up.   Mo’Nique took to social media to announce that she has a new comedy special dropping soon on Netflix, plus a new project with Lee Daniels.

Well the wait is over and Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels first project together, since the award winning ‘Precious’ back in 2009, ‘The Reading’ psychological thriller is premiering exclusively on BET+ (the house of Tyler Perry) on February 2, 2023.

Mo’Nique took to social media to give us a warning about ‘The Reading’

Hold on to your pearls, bibles, and seats tight. A reading is about take place, and it’s not for the weak.

With that being said.

‘The Reading’ is about recently widowed, Emma Leeden, who details the loss of her family in her new book “Invasion.” To generate press, Emma agrees to a staged reading by 19-year-old Sky Brown in Emma’s now fortified home. There’s only one problem, Sky’s spiritual connection is real, and evil emerges in a house they can’t get out of.
