Mississippi Mother Finds Missing Son Had Been Killed and Buried By Police

A Mississippi mother had been searching 7 long months for her missing son, only to find out that he was killed and buried in a paupers grave yard by police.

The last time Bettersten Wade to seen her middle child, 37 year old, Dexter Wade, was on the night of March 5, 2023 as he left home with a friend. Bettersten Wade reported him missing, and Jackson, Mississippi police told her they’d been unable to find him.

Well what’s done in the dark always comes to light.

The light was that Dexter had been Dexter Wade was killed less than an hour after he’d left home, struck by a Jackson police car as he crossed a nearby interstate highway. Police had known Dexter’s name, and hers, but failed to contact her, instead letting his body go unclaimed for months in the county morgue. 

“They had me looking for him all that time, and they knew who he was,”

Betterstein Wade now is working to raise the money needed to retrieve his body and place him at a proper gravesite.
