Michigan State Apologizes For Hanging The Obama and Others From a Tree!? #BlackHistoryMonth!?

It’s amazing the things that higher education miss, then have to turn around and apologizes for.  And the mistake that Michigan State University made with a display they had for Black History Month in their gift shop window should have been recognized as a mistake when they even began putting it together.

The story goes as this…Someone working at Michigan State Universities gift shop thought up the idea of displaying little doll figurines hanging on what appears to be a wooden tree.  The problem was the doll figurines were of The Obamas, Harriet Tubman and other prominent black people.  

After a customer complained about the display, the staff didn’t understand the problem.  The staff said there were some in other spots in the gift shop that were of non-African American decent, however Michigan State University said they did understand the problem and removed the display and apologized.

A lady faces a blatant symbol of #racism,ignorance,and stupidity.

She went to see a Jazz concert at Wharton Center for Performing Arts. After the concert she decided to walk into the gift shop to peruse.She looked up and saw this.
