2026 is the year of THE STALLION, Megan Thee Stallion that is, and it’s going to be a HOT GIRL SPRING, as big ups are in order as the announcement has been made that Megan Thee Stallion will be the first female rapper to star on Broadway, making her debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
That’s right Megan Pete is “Thee hottest news on Broadway” as Megan Thee Stallion will play the traditionally male role of Moulin Rouge club owner Zidler, after current actor Bob the Drag Queen (real name Christopher Delmar Caldwell) finishes his run on March 22. Megan Thee Stallion in her debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, will pickup the second leg for an eight-week run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from March 24 to May 17, 2026.
Not only will the Grammy Award winning Megan Thee Stallion be the first female rapper to star on Broadway, she is also making history as the first female-identifying performer to take on the role of Zidler in any production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical worldwide.
In a statement released by Megan Thee Stallion:
