Everybody does things to get likes, shared and/or go viral on social media, but sometimes their quest to social media greatness can cause them to go too far and sometimes get arrested.
An Arizona man has been arrested for take a can of pesticide and spraying it on food inside of a Walmart while filming himself doing it.
Charles Smith, 27, is accused of grabbing a can of Hot Shot Ultra Bed Bug and Flea Killer and unleashing the pesticide on a series of perishable items in the Mesa, Ariz. megastore on December 19th. In the now-deleted video, the influencer filmed himself wearing a black hoodie and pink bandana while spraying the toxin on bananas, acorn squash, potatoes, lemons, green apples and Roma tomatoes at the store.
Charles Smith allegedly told authorities that the stunt was one of many pranks that he films and posts online as a job, which he said makes him anywhere from $6,000 to $10,000 per month and allegedly after receiving negative comments on the Walmart video he returned to the store and removed the items he sprayed.
Charles Smith as arrested and charged him with introducing poison, criminal damage, endangerment, and theft.
