Malcolm Jamal Warners Mother Reaches A Deal With His Estate Denying Keeping Money From His Daughter

A little over a year ago shockingly and unexpectantly Malcolm-Jamal Warner ‘Theo’ On ‘The Cosby Show’ passed away at the age of 54 years old while in Costa Rica on a family vacation and drowned while swimming in July of 2025.  Sadly we reported that just a little over a year later after his passing his wife is suing his mother for $1.2 million.  Now according to Malcolm Jamal Warner’s mother Pamela Warner a deal with her sons estate has been reached and for the record no one was trying to keep his daughter her granddaughter from the coins she deserves.

“Recent claims that Pamela sought to prevent her granddaughter from receiving financial support are untrue,”

Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s widow, Tenisha Warner, was reportedly suing his mother, Pamela Warner (who now serves as the successor trustee of the family trust), seeking at least $1.2 million from the Warner Family Trust, claiming the late actor failed to fulfill several promises outlined in their May 2022 prenuptial agreement before his death, making her a creditor of his estate.

Tenisha Warner claims that Malcolm intended to provide for her and their daughter and had been “close to finalizing a new estate plan” that would have replaced one created in 1996, when he was 26, decades before his marriage and the birth of his daughter. However according to Tenisha Warner he was unable to do so before his death.

Pamela Warner, the late actor’s mother, says she has reached an agreement with the guardians representing Malcolm’s daughter over money from his trust and estate. The deal still needs court approval, and Malcolm’s widow, Tenisha Warner, was not involved, according to Pamela, who said she remains “hopeful that all parties will support the resolution.”  

Pamela Warner said her late son’s trust was divided among herself, Malcolm’s father and his sister, but said his wife and daughter were separately provided for with millions.

“The agreement provides for Malcolm’s daughter to receive the majority remainder of the Trust and Estate,” the statement continues. “The Settlement also memorializes that it is in the best interest of Malcolm’s daughter to have a relationship with her grandmother, Pamela.” …“Pamela remains hopeful that all parties will support the resolution and that her granddaughter will receive the full benefit of Malcolm’s legacy without further delay.”
