Luigi Mangione Pleads Not Guilty To UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder Charges [VIDEO]

Luigi Mangione was arrested as a person of interest in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has been detained, following 50-year-old UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot in the chest outside of a Hilton hotel Wednesday morning around 6:45 a.m. near W. 54th St. and 6th Avenue outside the Hilton Hotel in Manhattan.  Thompson was in town for UnitedHealthcare’s 2024 investor conference.

Manhattan prosecutors last week unsealed an 11-count indictment charging 26 year old Luigi Mangione with first-degree murder, an act of terrorism, criminal possession of a weapon and forgery by using a fake ID in the days before the murder. Mangione has pleaded not guilty to all charges during the short hearing.

According to Luigi Mangione’s attorney who blames New York Mayor Eric Adams for an unnecessary and choreographed “perp walk’ said:

“I am very concerned about my client’s right to a fair trial,” “The mayor should know more than anyone about the presumption of innocence,” 

Luigi Mangione’s next New York City court date was set for February 21, 2025.
