Lil Nas was spotted walking down Ventura Blvd in Los Angeles by multiple people at about 4 a.m. on Thursday morning. What drew attention aside from him being a celebrity was the fact that he was in his underwear and making random statements like “don’t be late for the party”. One person recorded the artist as he sang, danced, and pointed at the camera. At one point, he asked for the witness’ phone so he could toss it.
Lil Nas X reportedly charged at police officers, and they had to subdue him. Police then told paramedics that he was suffering from a possible overdose and had him transported to the hospital, where he was treated. Following being treated at the hospital Lil Nas X was booked for obstructing an officer and being held without bond.
According to TMZ, Nas stood before a judge in prison blues and entered a not guilty plea after waiving his arraignment. His bail was set for $75,000 but the judge did add some additional orders.
If convicted Nas could potentially face up to 12 years of jail time. One felony battery charge on a peace officer has a maximum of 3 years attached to it in California, Nas has 3 of those charges. The charge for resisting an executive officer also has a maximum of 3 years in California. He could be ordered to pay a $10,000 fine instead of doing time for the final charge or he could do the time and have to pay.
