The word ‘fan’ is short for ‘fanatics’ a person who is extremely interested in something, to a degree that some people find unreasonable. Lil Kim recent during a podcast interview had some interesting things to share, such as her portrayal in ‘Notorious’ wasn’t accute, hence she is doing her own docuseries/documentary and the fact the she can’t stand her fans, to the point where Lil Kim believes they hinder careers.
During a recent appearance on “Nick Cannon’s Big Drive,” the legendary rapper Lil Kim was asked what motivates her. Lil Kim’s response was “My family, my friends, people who believe in me,” then surprised listeners by adding, “I can’t stand my fans sometimes.” Lil Kim continued to say
“I hate them ‘cause they don’t get it. I really feel like some of them—and I’m not talking to all of them, obviously—but like the ones that think they know me, think they control me, think that they know best for me.” “I told them, believe it or not, y’all are the reason why we’re not where we supposed to be yet,”…. “The reason why I think I’m still moving now is because I had learned to say, f**k, f**k, whatever it ain’t. I don’t care no more. I’m going to do it my way.”
Lil Kim also went in depth about her legacy, detailing why she wants to rectify the “inaccurate” depiction of her in Biggie’s biopic, Notorious.
“[Notorious] was not accurate,” she said. “A lot of it was not accurate. I’m going to show everybody [what really happened between me and Biggie] in the Lil Kim movie because it’s coming.”
